Shaking it and Happy Daddy

I have a couple of videos this time that were too good not to share.

We left Evan's most prized possession in Cedar Falls after Caitlin's wedding so between Erin and Grandma Kate we got it back.

I took some video of him opening the box. "bat, bat, bat"

Here is another video of Evan dancing. This one is hilarious as he is trying to see his booty dance.

Also today is Nick's birthday and Evan loves birthdays. He sings - Happy Daddy or Happy Mommy, etc. and loves to sing it to everyone.

Nick is wearing Evan's birthday hat that he still loves to wear from April:) Must have a little of his mom in him.

Baby's update

It is officially on the books – Oct. 7 at 7:15 a.m. baby will come whether he/she likes it or not. Dr. Hoegh is scheduled to deliver baby #2 which is great because he delivered Evan too and Nick and I both really liked him. Obviously if I go earlier, all the better.

Baby was doing well at my appt. heart rate at 144 – pretty consistent the last couple of times.

Eric if finally home and we all couldn't be more excited and proud. Here Eric is next to his chariot from Boone back to Des Moines - courtesy of his mother-in-law.

4th of July and swimming!

Every year we get together with the Smith's and other friends for the Urbandale parade on the 4th of July. This year we got to have both sets of Papa's and Grandma's join us too.

We also went to Luke Morrison's 1st birthday party at Ashby Park over the 4th of July weekend with our good buddy Harper and Logan from Evan's school.

Trying figure out the water gun, got a little frustrated when mom or dad would try to help. 

Really not sure if Evan is trying to tackle Harper or what in the picture, but Harper has her hip out to make sure he doesn't push her over.

We also went to the zoo recently and he loved the "roar" in the water. Not a big fan of the dinosaurs.

He couldn't get further back in his stroller.

Coming home from Papa and Grandma's house - wiped out! He left Grandma's with 2 diggers that haven't left his hands (even while sleeping).  

Uncle Eric comes home TOMORROW! We can't wait to see him and show him all of Evan's new tricks!
