Enjoying the weather!

We have had some crazy warm weather and we aren't complaining. The boys have loved being outside the last week.

Wyatt started eating carrots and sweet potatoes, along with his cereal. He is rolling over like a crazy man and is starting to scoot in circles - mobile child #2 coming soon.

Evan got a new gator John Deere as an early birthday present from Grandpa Dave and Grandma Lois - best gift ever and made for one happy boy.

Evan got to go to 2 basketball games with Dad and Grandpa Steve - again loved it. He will shoot "basket hoops" for hours in the basement. He was shooting hoops with "big Drew" - Nick's friend's son a long time. Good thing Drew is patient with Evan because he spent a lot of time chasing his ball.

One item to mention - Since it has been so nice outside Evan knows how to open the screen door to the deck. We have Lou that loves to get outside when it is nice and Nick noticed after probably an hour that door was open while they were all outside. Luckily Lou isn't the daring cat he used to be and just walked around the house and ended up on the front step - as Nick panicked and called me to come home.

My question - why do crises happen on dad's watch? Lost puppy, Lou gets out, etc.

5 months old and Armadillos!

Evan and I went to the Zoo for one of their programs and it was about armadillos. As we pulled into the parking lot I got "Mom this is awesome!" even though we hadn't even gone in yet.

This is our little Evan in a nutshell. He takes a little time to warm up, but once he is comfortable he is answering questions and leading the group.

He also had his first marriage proposal yesterday at school with his birthday twin Morgan. She said we should get married and he said ok. She had a dress on and they had their first dance. Although I don't think it will last long as he told me Eliza and Caroline were his girlfriends and I kiss Caroline. Which Caroline's mom told me he kissed her three times before they left one day. Oh boy, he is going to get a reputation.

Putting Out an APB for Puppy....AGAIN

Once again, Dad has managed to lose one of Evan’s best friends, Puppy! Once again, Puppy has gone missing solely on Dad’s watch! Puppy has been through thick and thin while constantly being at Evan’s side.

Last time puppy got hypothermia.

Left in the daycare parking lot on a cold, wet, slushy day - rescued.

Puppy went missing sometime between Evan lovingly loaning him to Wyatt as he was crying before a nap and our lunch visit to see Mom as Amy had to work this weekend. Evan and Dad were really relying on Mom (once again) to rescue Puppy but even her magical Mom powers could not rescue him this time. Yesterday, when we asked Evan where Puppy might be, his answers included “I left him at school, out in the front yard and Grandma’s house.” We have turned our house upside down and have yet to locate Puppy hence the APB. If anyone has information on Puppy’s whereabouts, please alert the proper authorities aka Dad so Evan will let me back in his good graces!
