Fun, fun, fun

Evan is such a fun little boy! We are enjoying this age so much.  He is all over the place, but it keeps us on our toes. Here are a lot of photos, but we have been doing a lot of things lately so enjoy!
Learning to use a spoon

Nah I'll just use my hand.

Grandma Kate, Aunt Lindsay and Aunt Erin came to visit me last week. I had so much fun with them and mom let me stay up a little late to keep playing.

Grandma Kate give me my ball or I'll get you!
Hey Aunt Lins stop playin' keep away. Aunt Erin you got my back?

Farm Life

We headed up to Wisconsin for the weekend to see a lot of relatives. Most of Grandpa and Grandma Wieland's family lives there so we like to go there when there isn't snow on the ground:)  Evan was such a good traveler and even let mom stop and shop for awhile.

Great Aunt Arlene and Kathleen were back from San Diego and it was great to see them! Thanks to all my great aunts for the kisses too:)

We went to see miniature horses at Grandpa Hilson's farm. I liked them a lot. I wasn't sure about the baby goat and llama. Not sure the purpose of a llama yet - it was loud and big.
Thank goodness Uncle Eric was with me when the biggest cow EVER came up to me. I really didn't care for her very much.
I liked being on the four wheeler with Grandpa Dave. Go faster Grandpa!
Evan's started in the toddler room and so far so good. He doesn't like to come in from being outside much. There is a lot going on for him so he will be busy.

Mom and Evan first day of toddler school picture.

He is starting to take an interest in books too, but he wants to read them himself.

He is growing up so fast and everyting is new and exciting. He is trying to tell us things, but there is a little communication barrier, but we are working through it.

Outside? Outside?

We have a little boy that loves to be outside! I know he wants to say it so bad and just can't. He will stand at the window and point outside. Now when we said out he waves bye bye and starts in on the pointing.

He is really starting to know ma ma ma ma ma and da da da. When we say puppies he goes to the window and looks for our neighbors puppies outside. He chases Lou all around and last night Lou decided he had enough and batted at Evan. Of course Evan just laughed. Nick said - if that were me 5 years ago I would have ran away!

Here he is playing outside at daycare. He love cars.

Grandpa Dave captured this cheesy photo of Evan in his underoos!
This is Evan waking up - major bed head!
This was one of the nights where getting up at 4 a.m. sounded like a good idea, but turns out he needed more sleep and so did mom and dad.
Here he is playing in a box at daycare. This kid loves to play!

Love spaghetti!

We bought Evan a swing set and he loves the swing and slide. Can't wait to use it all summer! I will add pictures when it stops raining and being cold.

Evan will be leaving his best buddy Annie on May 24 and moving up to toddlers at daycare. I think it will be the hardest on mom and Annie. Evan has been visiting his new teacher and friends and will hopefully do great!

Evan's April update

Mr. Evan is walking everywhere and becoming very indepedent.  He is so much fun. I love being able to go do things with him and see his reactions.  I can do without the tantrums on the kitchen floor and the arching of his back:)

Nick headed off to Chicago/Milwaukee last weekend so Evan and I headed north to Algona. Grandpa Dave and Grandma Lois were very excited to have him around. He kept us and the neighbor kids busy.

Grandpa Dave has been wanting to buy Evan ice cream since the day he was born. Well needless to say Evan LOVED it! He would get mad when I would take a bite and not give him any. Caramel sundae was on the menu.
Also like Grandpa Dave he likes to play farmer with jeans and no shirt and undies hanging out.

Evan's favorite things to do now are ride in his wagon and chase Lou.  The other day I found Cheerios all over the floor and Lou and Evan both eating them.

Also Evan spilled his Cheerios again and then decided to lay in them and mash them in the carpet.

This is a new gymnastics move he is doing all the time. Quite entertaining.

We know who his new teacher will be in May when he moves to the toddler room. She is super nice, but I think Evan will take time to adjust. He loves his Annie so much. The good thing is that a few old friends are in that room too. Maddison or Mad-Girl as we call her, Harper aka Girlfriend and Beckham. He has some friends to help the transition:)

Chillin' on the box.

Grandpa Steve came to visit on jammie day!

Nick and I will celebrate our 4th anniversary on April 29. Can't believe it has been 4 years already! Last year on our anniversary was the peak of Evan's illness. The next day we went to the doctor and 2 days later he was in surgery and came out a new little boy that loved to eat! so thankful he is happy and healthy.

Birthday party

We had a great time for Evan's birthday! It was Elmo themed as you can tell by the cupcakes and cake. A friend of mine did the baking and it turned out awesome!

We had family and friends, and Evan's favorite teacher Annie that came over to help celebrate.
