Florida Family Fun

We went to Orlando with my parents and Nick's parents. Who is lucky enough to get two sets of Grandparents to help out?! The boys traveled great and were real troopers the whole time.

This is going to be a lot of pictures mostly but we had a blast and the best way to show that is through pictures.

Ready to go!

Wyatt in the cockpit, Evan was there too but didn't want his picture taken. Southwest was awesome!

Our first stop was the Disney Art of Animation Studios for our first night. This place has it all and it was something we would love to do again. I highly recommend it. They have Lion King, Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo and Cars themed hotels.

We of course had to stay in the Wheel Well with Sally and McQueen.
Cozy Cone for breakfast by the pool with Dunkin' Donuts
A Mater bed!
As you can tell Wyatt loved it!

Playing by the "high-knees" as Evan called them - and he didn't like them at all.
Next stop was Gatorland - this is a natural habitat for the most alligators and crocs I have ever seen!

Then it was off to Sea World...
We hit the beach with Great-Grandpa Varcoe in Satellite Beach one day too.

We also went to Downtown Disney - not sure if we will be able to pass on the "real" Disney next year. Evan really wanted to see the castle and Mickey.

Fossil hunting
NASCAR driving with Grandpa Dave
We had a fabulous time and can't wait to hopefully go back again next year! I am sure I will get more pictures from the grandparents as they do I will post.

15 month update

Wyatt or Wy-Wy or Super Wy is right on track, and a little advanced if you ask our unbiased opinions. He checked out perfectly for developmental progress.

25.6 lbs - 75%
33 in" - 57% - a little average for our liking (we'll get there)
89% for head - that is more like it

Words:
Hat
Hot
Cheese
Uh oh
Mama
Dada
Boots
Lou
More (signs as well)
Thank you
Milk
Choo- choo
Evan sounds the same each time, just not like Evan

He knows what shoes are and how to get them. Throw away things in the garbage. Knows what his tractors, trucks and trains are. He can take directions very well too, which is helpful each day getting out the door:)

The downfall is he can't quite kick his wheezing and junk in his lungs. So we are back on the nebulizer and steriod for a few days. After that if he is still yucky they will do a chest xray and hopefully prevent any pneumonia. Poor RSV baby - she did think he probably had another round of RSV, but battle through as a "Happy Wheezer".  Bring on spring please.

Best thing about being a working mom, with kids that go to your work for daycare - lunch dates!! Evan and I had our first official lunch date this week and it was great. Up until this point he would have been too sad to take back to school after lunch, but now he reasons better...most of the time:)

Chicken nuggets, salad, cheetos and ketchup - all picked by him with chocolate milk.

His date, Caroline and her mom Anne came with us too.
Hard to explain to a 3 year old what I do for a living, not being a nurse or doctor, but I work in a hospital? yeah I know kiddo. Dad gets to work in a big building and I confuse my kid.

We started gymnastics for both boys at the YMCA as well. They loved it - well except until they asked Evan to do a kartwheel and then started the I can'ts, etc. so we just stuck with somersaults.

I would rather have a ball - yep same as Evan.

We had Eric and Susan over for dinner and they 3 boys played so well together. They were all laughing hysterically playing with the door. Only downfall was when Evan whipped a ball and nailed Brecken in the head. Eric said he will have to learn to duck or catch soon.

Irish Meltdown

So it has been a whirlwind at our house the past week. Nick decided Friday that he was going to go to the BCS National Championship game in Miami to watch his beloved Irish play Alabama. This is totally not like him to do it last minute, but we had airline miles, a hotel room with friends, so why not. Off he went...
Evan was a little sad Dad wasn't going to be there for the game to watch on TV, but mom promised popcorn and staying up late. And the night came and we were excited!
And then the game started...go Te'o!
Then the Irish started losing...
 And more losing...

This continued on for sometime...

We did talk about it only being a football game...we may have some work to do.
Nick had a great time and was so happy to be there.  A once in a lifetime (so far for Irish fans) opportunity to get to the championship. There is always next year!

Go Irish!
