Ready for summer and new adventures

The biggest news is we have a preschool graduate and soon to be kindergartner. Really really not sure when that happened, but Evan is excited and so ready. Each kid got to say what they wanted to be when they grow up and Evan said he wanted to be a kid doctor. Love hearing all the kids dreams and career aspirations. We are so proud of Evan and what a kind, sweet, sensitive, smart boy he is and will hopefully continue to be at Shuler Elementary in just 10 short weeks!

Aunt Char and Aunt Nancy came from WI to a game to watch Evan play ball and got some great photos, along with Grandpa Dave.

So I get our family into a lot of public things with my job, but I think this is one for the record books. This is our family photo at the Waukee YMCA, plastered to the wall. Nick didn't sign off on such a large family portrait, and honestly neither did I. All in the name of the job, board member, love of PR/Branding:)

They do rest...

Eventually my kids rest, but after doing all this activity how could you not?!
We also had Bria's baptism last weekend and Nick and I are the proud Godparents to this cutie.

We also had a baby check up today and the heart rate was 137 and very low and was making the nurse chase them around. What else would we expect?! :)

Baby #3 is sleepy and healthy

It was a big day today and one we got to share with Grandma Lois. We had our big ultrasound, 21 weeks today.

Baby's heart rate was 139 and isn't a morning person - score for mom! We had the greatest time just watching baby yawn, stretch and try to wake up for a good 30 minutes. A few moments baby would kick and you could see it on the screen and I could feel it simultaneously which is always fun. Of course baby is measuring ahead -only three days, but why wouldn't I have a big baby??

Here are the pictures from this morning, hard to see some, but most are actually pretty clear. Tech said baby was very photogenic today. Click on the pictures to see bigger.

Check out the last row on the left- the picture is of baby yawning, but honestly it looks like baby is fists up ready to go rounds and yelling.

All looks healthy and that is all we can ask for right now. I think baby looked super calm and sweet - which is also what we can ask for:)

Evan and Wyatt's 20 week ultrasound updates:
Wyatt:
Love laying face up. was really snuggling into mom's belly. Hands were in a fist most of the time we were watching. Must realize its going to have to come out fighting! Tech said she was chasing the little one and he was very active. BUSY BUSY BUSY were her exact words! Baby weighed 344 grams or approximately .75 pounds. heartbeat was 144 beats per minute.

Evan's:
Baby was very active today so it got a little harder for the ultrasound tech as our appointment went on...Their face is nuzzled in next to the placenta so it is hard to get a front view. Heart beat 141.

Football and Friends

The boys have been outside non-stop and love it. We have finally got some flag football games in as well, which Evan loves. More baseball to come as well.

Warm weather fun

I don't think I have ever been so ready for warm weather. These boys and mama are ready!

Visiting the park - finally!

Finley and Wyatt watching big brothers Drake and Evan play baseball

Between flag football and baseball for Evan - May and June will be busy. Wyatt enjoys making me chase him around the fields and be where Nick and Evan are all the time. Wyatt also is a dare devil with no fear and made Grandma and Grandpa nervous with a fall and a quick trip to urgent care, but nothing a little ice cream couldn't fix. The very next day the kid jumps off the tallest bench of the bleachers and says "I jump!" yep ER is next in our future.

Enjoy the summer!
