Thanksgiving is over and on to Christmas

Evan is just about 8 months old - seriously - 8 months?! He is working on more teefers and boy is it painful to watch. He gets a little fussy and I really don't blame him. He is such a happy boy that when he is sad it just breaks your heart.

He is on his second ear infection, but this is the second one and second time working on teeth. We'll see if my theory holds up about teething and ear infections.

We went to Cedar Rapids/Iowa City for Thanksgiving and back to Des Moines with my family. Evan ate turkey and gravy and squash and loved it. He thought pumpkin pie was coming next, but Grandpa Dave wasn't around to feed it to him behind mom's back.

I don't think Evan was put down or not around people for 5 straight days, he saw just about every one of his relatives, except for the Wisconsin relatives. Aunts, uncle, grandparents, great aunts, great grandparents, whew - I am exhausted for him:) He just doesn't think naps are that important with all those people around, but then decides he should have taken one and hold on to your hats folks.

Going back to daycare yesterday was rough. It was the first day he got fussy and sensitive circled on his chart. He always get happy circled.

He loves, loves, loves his bath - seriously we used to dread giving baths because he would scream, now we use it when he is fussy and almost bed time to buy some time and keep him happy.

Oh hey Dad - cheese! Back to puffer fish and "Lobby" the lobster now.

Walking around Jordan Creek - "Um, excuse me, anyone going to let me out of here?"We got our Christmas cards done too, so look for them in the mail. Evan also got his first Christmas present under the tree from Grandma Lois, good thing we don't have to wrap it since he really doesn't know it is his - oh in due time.

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Love,

Nick, Amy and Evan
