Swimming and Gymnastics

Dad decided to chime in this week on Evan's swimming class:

Evan was very excited to go swimming last night at waterbabies. We are in the 7 p.m. class so when we got there, there is another class playing on the slides and with the pool toys. He was a VERY good boy and sat with us while all the other kids played until it was his turn. just as we got up to head into the pool while holding Dad's hand and not running, Evan took a tumble and smoked his noggin on the tile outside the pool. Glad we didn't have any blood but he had a monster knot on the back of his head. Thankfully it didn't prevent us from repeatedly jumping off the edge of the pool when he learned that was part of the class or from giving the toy water turtle in the pool repeated "noggins."

Mom's turn: (sorry no pics from swimming, will do it this week)

We had gymnastics and he loved every minute of it as along as he had a ball...go figure. We did have to corral him a few times (the basketball court is on the other side.)

 Jumping on the trampoline.
Come back Evan, we'll play ball later.
Hanging with friend Grace. So tough!
 Up and over!
Other kids returning their ball, Evan looking for more.
 He scored another ball.
Waiting for the other kids to come get stamps and stickers, with a ball. sigh. This better pay off some day:)
We went to celebrate Aunt Diana's end of chemo this past weekend in Cedar Rapids. We had a great time and Evan got to show off for all his aunts. At one point I came downstairs to the boys playing Wii.

Evan, Grandpa Steve, Uncle John and Nick
Trying to get a picture with Great-Grandpa Keating in his firetruck jammies, but it was just time for bed.
Reading Dora with cousin Caroline and Dad.
Uncle Eric is home for 2 weeks so we get to spend some time with him before he goes back to Afghanistan until July. Evan and Eric were wrestling and playing last week, all while not trying to get attacked by Eric and Susan's dog Roxy, a litttle ankle-biter.

Love,
Nick, Amy and Evan
