Whew...

Now that Christmas, Vegas, traveling, and laundry from being gone for a week and half are over I am looking forward to some time at home.

Farewell Boots the Elf. We have had so much fun with Boots this year and can't wait until he returns next year.

Evan had his Christmas concerts at school and he did so great!

Thumbs up dad!

Wyatt not a fan of Santa with Grandma

Nick and I went to Vegas last week with his sister Erin and his sister Lindsay and her husband Ben to watch UNI play UNLV. Good thing the arena is awesome, because UNI didn't play so hot. We got delayed a day because of the storm of the century, but made it home just in time to leave 16 hours later for WI for Christmas.

The boys were spoiled between the grandparents and I think wore them out, but they were perfect for them. Which as a parent is all you hope for.

Since we got a foot of snow we decided while in Wisconsin we should do some sledding at my Aunt Char's house. And it is flat as a pancake so we tried the ditch to get some downhill action.

Let's move it Dad.
I should have more photos from Christmas soon.

Here is to a great 2013!

Christmas Fun

I may be enjoying the Elf on the Shelf thing a little much, but watching both boys look for Boots in the morning is worth it. Evan asks each night where I think Boots will be in the morning, gives me the motivation to keep being creative.

We took the boys on the Santa Train in Boone. It was a lot of fun going to the "North Pole"

We enjoyed the first snow fall of the year too.

Wyatt's Birthday Video

I have to put things on my blog so I don't forget about them.

Wyatt's Godmother Caitlin, and video extraordinaire made this for Wyatt on his first birthday. We love it!

Naughty and Nice

We have had a busy few weeks, with lots of fun.

Disney on Ice: I took Evan with his friend Drake and his mom Megan to Disney on Ice the day before Thanksgiving. Honestly I didn't know how it would go, but Evan sat on the edge of his chair the whole 90 minutes. He didn't want to leave!

Thanksgiving: We went to Iowa City and Cedar Rapids for Thanksgiving. Evan scored 3 touchdowns in his first football game. He will tell you all about it:)

Science Center: I took the boys to the Science Center and they loved every minute of it. I was busy building rockets or I would have taken more pictures.

They spent a lot of time at the ball wall.

Wyatt in the water building dams.

Christmas Spirit: We have had so much fun getting ready for Christmas this year. Boots the Elf came back to our house and is the highlight of each morning. We saw the tree lighting at Jordan Creek - everyone loved it until the fireworks, then we had a crying child (not Wyatt).

Having fun

We are busy and having fun as we head into the holidays. I can't believe my last post was about Halloween and now it is almost Thanksgiving.

Our new favorite dance is Gangnam Style, but this is an oldie but goodie. The Iowa Hawkeye burrito lift in matching jammies!
Wyatt loves to dance, he loves music and is using his left hand a lot. Nick is happy:)

Wyatt is adjusting to his new room with his teacher Demitu pretty well. We are on week 3 and it seems like he is settling in. He has a cute little friend named Emma who is a spit fire and cute as can be. She is actually the daughter of the doctor that did his newborn check on him in the hospital. So cute!
