Evan's first race

Evan ran in his first race at Dam to Dam in Des Moines. Nick ran the 20k, Grandpa Steve ran the 5k and Evan ran the 1 year old race. I didn't even think about getting the 3 generations in a photo, next year.

This is our neighbor Baya, two days older than Evan. Pre-game snack, aka carb-loading.

Ready to race. His daycare friend Maddison is in the blue pants and pink shirt.

This kid in the orange won, we wanted to see a birth certificate and a drug test. Steroids and other performance enhancing drugs checked please.

So tired...

We had so much fun at the race, after the rain stopped. Nick ran in the rain the whole time, reason number 1 I don't run unless I am being chased.
