Busy busy busy! We have to thank the grandparents a lot this month for stepping in and watching Evan for us.  We made a trip to Chicago, Notre Dame and Iowa City and each time the Grandparents were there to help out with Evan.  So a big Thank you to "Pa Dave" and "Pa Steve" and Gramma Lois and Gramma Kate.

Evan has learned quite a few words lately and is really using them well. 

1. Every bird is a duck, so we just go with it.

2. Ambulance - yeah I know, not bird, but ambulance. and it sounds pretty darn close too

3. What is that? - coming out pretty clearly too

4. All done - with the hand shake

5. Pig oink noise

6. Cat

7. Dog

8. Banana - nana

9. Looks at TV when football is on - ball, ball, ball. Yes Evan you are your father's son.

Evan what does a sheep say? Evan: hahahahaha (he thinks it is a laugh, instead of baaaaa)

The best thing is when Lou is getting into something he isn't supposed to, which must be often, because Evan will say "no, no, no, no" and put his arm out like he is saying stop to Lou. He will go right up in his face and do it. Oops, guess I need to stop saying no to Lou all the time. We put our arms up and say stop when he is running into the street too so I guess he hears it a lot. Also Nick taught him Swiper no swiping from Dora too.

Grandma Lois taught Evan that YouTube has truck videos so they are now computer buddies for life!

Grandma Lois bought me a new truck, oh and Notre Dame in on TV, don't interrupt. (Just like dad)

Hey guys, there is an ambulance, trucks and band coming my way at the homecoming parade!

Logan, Evan's buddy from school turned 2 and had a birthday party with an indoor/outdoor bounce house! Evan loved it!

Evan is also the big 18 months now. I seriously can't believe how much of a little boy he is now. No more baby, now it is full on parenting and sticking to our guns. The kid is cute and I am afraid he knows how to use it.

He mimics everything we do and tries to say it too - we have to watch what we are saying! He is our shadow all over the place. He just wants to know what is going on at all times. Nick and Evan fertilized the lawn, I think Evan slowed the process a little bit, but he was such a good helper and really wanted to help push and pour the seed in. So Nick was very patient in helping him.
