Grandpa and Grandma Wieland had their 40th Anniversary party. We got to see most of the Wisconsin relatives which was so much fun. Evan went swimming and played until he couldn't play anymore.
We went to 3 RAGBRAI towns with Evan and he loved all the buses, bikes and trucks! He is saying truck all the time. Driving anywhere he points at every truck and you have to acknowledge him.
Mom, Dad, Evan and Grandpa Dave in West Bend on RAGBRAI.
Going swimming with Aubrey - Evan might be a little more excited than she was. She didn't say much on the way to the park, but on the way home Evan fell asleep and she chatted the whole way.
Aubrey swimming
Evan loves the water!
Whew it is hot, I need a drink.
This is awesome!
Snack time with mom, Aubrey and Evan. Only time Evan would sit down.
Off to the zoo for the first time. Evan loved almost everything. Goats and camels, not so much.
Dad can we move away from the camels, they smell.
Hey Goat, slow down and stop asking for food all the time. (huh, seems like we say this to Evan a lot too.)
Going on the train - I loved this! (p.s. mom makes me wear the Jack Hannah hat.)
Hey monkeys, you want some puffs?
Sitting on dad's shoulders waiting for the sea lions. Didn't make it to the show, it was lunch time.
I love the zoo with my dad!
Uncle Eric left on Friday (July 30). So Evan had another first, a send off ceremony. He kept our spirits up with his laugh and non-stop running. Uncle Eric even said he saw him dancing in the crowd during the ceremony.
Stay safe Uncle Eric and hurry home, I want a playmate!
Just call me Major Evan.
Whole family at the send off ceremony.
Needless to say we will miss Eric and wish him all the best in the next year. He is a great solider and will be a great leader for his troops.
Love,
Nick, Amy and Evan
